The realibility of the OWLS written expression scale with ESL kindergarten students

Harrison, Ogle, and Keilty conducted an analysis of the Oral and Written Language Scales (OWLS) written expression scale with ESL and non-ESL kindergarten students. The authors concluded that the results of their analysis supported the use of the OWLS written expression scale as an early norm-referenced measure to reliably gauge ESL student early English writing skills.
